I really love these candles, firstly they're soy (#crueltyfree), they use non-toxic cotton lead free wicks, they have two wicks (my favourite kind of candles), the beautiful scents they make are unique and smell stunning and the idea behind them is so lovely. Here's a few lines from their website to explain for itself...
"My great grandma Maisey would spend hours making her own candle creations. Her recipe was handed down to her daughter (my gran) then to my mum. Four generations of women who love the beautiful things in life.
The idea of Maisey candles evolved from my great grandmother whose nickname was 'Maisey'. Maisey loved the aroma of beautiful candles, she would continuously have them burning, it formed a homely feeling creating warmth and welcome. I wanted to continue this way of living by creating my own remembrance of her loves. Maisey candles is a line of my favourite scents that I have carefully researched, I want these candles to represent Maisey and our love of her and her ways."
The scent I have is bubbles and berries. Sweet, but not sickly sweet berry scent with a light hint of sweet bubbly champagne.
The smell reminds me of a quote from The Fault In Our Stars by John Green, but instead of tasting them I'm smelling them... “What did Dom Perignon say to fellow monks after he invented champagne? ... Come quickly, I am tasting the stars.” - John Green (The Fault In Our Stars)
